On Tuesday, October 11th, my guests at Wines Of Italy Livestream will be Federica and Gianluca Cabrini from Tenuta Belvedere in Montecalvo Versiggia which is in the province of Pavia in Lombardy. This winery is situated in the Oltrepò Pavese wine district in Lombardy. They produce a sparkling wine m’Ami Spumante Extra Brut made with pinot noir and produced with the Metodo Classico, i.e. the Champenoise method. They also produce different other wines such as a pinot noir vinified as a white wine, a Riesling DOC dell’Oltrepò Pavese, a Bonarda DOC dell’Oltrepò Pavese, and Coccìnea Croatina provincia di Pavia IGT. The last two are red wines and the grape varieties Bonarda and Croatina are native grapes to Lombardy.
